

The AwakeningThump, thump. My heart pounds against my chest, racing faster and faster. Threatening to burst free from its confines. The familiar prickling sensation on the back of my neck, a sign of things yet to come. I gaze up at the full moon, and stand in awe of its beauty. The pale white light casts its gaze upon me, revealing the painful truth. My skin, once fleshy and soft, now coated in coarse hair. I touch my face and confirm the truth I have for so long denied.
